The Speech Contest finally arrives on March 17th this Wednesday!
At this meeting,we will have two contests:English Table Topic Contest and International English Speech Contest.
Winners will enter the next competition of area level, then division level, then district level, if he or she is lucky enough or really competent enough, could get into the international level, a free air ticket to USA will be offered.

参赛资格：会员且至少达到C6

主题：畅行春运
本次会议比较特别，特别在于会议多了一个俱乐部的官员交接仪式。交接仪式由前主席谢意军主持。
交接仪式中，七位新任官员依次站到台前，主持人宣读了每一位官员工作职责，并得到每位新任官员对“你能尽你最大的努力，做好（官员名称，分别为接待官、财务官、秘书长、公关副主席、会员副主席、教育副主席、主席）的工作吗？”肯定而郑重的回答后，授与每一位新任官员特制的官员别针。照相机给我们记录了这一珍贵时刻。
总体评估人马翔的总结：
1）主持人汪海贵的第一次主持，出色完成任务。各环节衔接得当，合理恰当。
2）时间官把时间控制得很好。需要改进的地方是需要把亮时间牌的时间适当延长，确定演讲者看到时间牌。最好坐在面对演讲者的位置。哼哈官尽职尽责。语言专家为会议语言运用做了很好的点评。但在台上需要更多的眼神交流。用今日一词举例的时候可以稍微简短一点。
3）即席演讲主持人成功主持了即席演讲，风格很幽默。在开场的时候，时间可以再简短一点。
4）两个既定演讲评估人点评也很好。其中评估人孙燕林用词很丰富，生动，值得学习。
5）在台上角色切换的时候需要上台的角色最好提前上前等待，减少衔接时间。
6）建议会员和来宾分开坐，方便大家交流。

Theme: Annual Party
Word of the Meeting: Celebrate
(25 Jan 2010)—The Chartered President, Forest called the meeting to order punctually, at 18:45. After giving his presidential address, Forest also played the role as the toastmaster of the evening energized all of us. 45 people including members, visiting toastmasters, and guests attended the meeting. It’s followed by the evaluation team introduction which was leaded by the experience senior toastmaster, Philip Ma. He, as the GE (General Evaluator), brought out his team to explain the purpose of different roles and their duties for the entire meeting with deep enthusiasm. “Don’t be afraid to make mistakes”, as he said. I like it! =)
There were 4 prepared-speech speakers. Stella Wang and Zhao Lei broke the ice (Ice Breaker, 1st speech) and told us about “A Journey of Change” & “Bird of Passage”. You won’t believe that these 2 speakers are ice breakers. Carry on, was the C5 speaker, Humphrey Gu with the speech title, “Now Discover Your Strengths”. “Lecturing us to discover our talents and kept increasing our knowledge in life! The last but not least, the prepared-speech session was ended by the C6 speaker, Charles Ma. He told us about the “USA insight” with great injection of humor.
After the 10-minute break was the training session by DTM Susan Zhou, “My Discovery Journey in Toastmasters”. Sharing with us the 5 discoveries in Toastmasters:
· Improve Communication & Leadership Skills
· Find Your Voice
· “3H” healthy living life-style : Happy, High & Health
· Make lots of Friends
· Learn to Contribute
Moving forward was the table topic session which was leaded by Bruce Wang. All together 6 speakers involved and I believe if not because of the time limitation, there would be more! =D
GE, Philip took the control and brought out again his team to give their reports in accordance. Philip gave practical suggestions and comment on the entire meeting. That’s why Philip’s feedbacks always mesmerize me! Constructive INDEED!
20:45 meeting adjourned.
The things I was impressed and what I think we can learn from them are as:
1. The meeting was lively and substantial. 4 prepared-speech speakers and 6 table topic speakers.
2. Training session by experience DTM, Division Governor, Susan Zhou.–Educational.
3. Nice meeting venue and a variety of refreshment drinks.
